It's not too late to get started on achieving your goals for this year, so evict the "stinking thinking" and focus on the one thing you can do today or this week to complete your top goal for this month before the end of the year.
As a former perfectionist, I used to have a tough time presenting a my finished product if I felt it wasn't perfect. Guess what I have learned? In life, there is no perfect person, project, product or thing. So evict this thought from your mind and instead strive for excellence, which is doing your best based on what you know at the present moment.
My motto for overcoming perfectionism and procrastination is "done is better than perfect." Try it. It works. Thank me later. When you focus on excellence, it will free you to be creative and it will give you room to make mistakes and evolve.
Learning from your mistakes is a part of life. A good example is watching a baby learn to walk. They fall down and get back up. And before you know it, they are walking.
It's time for you to get back up and keep moving forward so you finish this year strong. YOU CAN DO IT! I believe in you.
